"The album title inspired everything about the artwork. To make the cover, we took a very old golden coloured book, cut a hole out of the centre, and in the place where you might commonly find a pistol, or a chisel, or some other desperate tool, filled it with dirt. A thing that could be useful in two ways - to grow something in it, or to bury ourselves with it." - Tegan and Sara
-
The song Give Chase was created as a demo for this album. The original demo has never been released, but they have played this song live.
-
In 2007, they also released the I'll Take The Blame EP which included the songs One Second and I Take All The Blame.
