Lyrics:
Loser, take my heart, I can’t grow up
Loser, take my heart, I can’t grow up
Loser, take my heart, I can’t grow up
Loser, take my heart, I can’t grow up
Gimme gimme all of your love and then break it off
Can you even live with yourself?
Get me get me under your spell, why does it turn you off?
Put me back onto the shelf
Take me to the edge, want the maximum
You’re always kiss kiss kissing me off
So lemme lemme get what I want
And when you break it off
Get me up and back to the start
Cause I can’t grow
Gimme gimme all of your love (Loser, I can’t grow up)
Gimme gimme all of your love (Loser, I can’t grow up)
Gimme gimme all of your love (Loser, I can’t grow up)
Gimme gimme all of your love (Loser, I can’t grow up)
How do I know when it’s time to let go? (Take my heart, I can’t grow up)
How do I love when it’s time to let go? (Take my heart, I can’t grow up)
Got me got me feeling insane, you spin me round again
Twist my head until you hear pop
Get me get me under your thumb, does it turn you on?
To hear me just telling you stop
Hanging by a thread, want the maximum
You’re always cut cut cutting me off
So lemme lemme get what I want
And when you break it off
Get me up and back to the start
Cause I can’t grow
Gimme gimme all of your love (Loser, I can’t grow up)
Gimme gimme all of your love (Loser, I can’t grow up)
How do I know when it’s time to let go? (Take my heart, I can’t grow up)
How do I love when it’s time to let go? (Take my heart, I can’t grow up)
Boomerang taking my head off
A hitman taking my last breath
Sinking fangs into my throat
You’re a hangman killing my hope
Oh, a boomerang taking my head off
A hitman taking my last breath
Sinking fangs into my throat
You’re a hangman
How do I know when it’s time to let go? (Take my heart, I can’t grow up)
How do I love when it’s time to let go? (Take my heart, I can’t grow up)
How do I know when it’s time to let go? (Take my heart, I can’t grow up)
How do I love when it’s time to let go? (Take my heart)
Cause I can’t grow
Gimme gimme all of your love (Loser)
Cause I can’t grow
Gimme gimme all of your love
Cause I can’t grow
Gimme gimme all of your love (Loser)
Cause I can’t grow
Gimme gimme all of your love
Cause I can’t grow
Gimme gimme all of your love (Loser)
I can’t grow up

Trivia and Quotes:
"The song itself was musically inspired by Chicago band Dehd and their album Flower of Devotion. I (Sara) started on bass, an instrument I’d never written with until Crybaby, and I was channeling a little bit of Emily Kempf (from Dehd), and Peter Hook from New Order. My partner had traveled back to the US, after a year of being stuck in Canada during the pandemic, and I was enjoying late nights alone writing music and singing full tilt in the basement. I Can’t Grow up is a snotty nose pop song about not being able to grow out of bad habits in relationships." - Sara Quin in 2022
