One Month
Description:

Lyrics:
One month to the day that you said that you'd never change
And if I am right then you were always wrong
You got a hand in this while
An old man behind his walls and all day he says fielding calls
Says this whole world's gonna shut down without me
Well let's see, and show your hands to me
And show your hands to
Sinking into your queen sized kingdom
I'm begging you to stay, stay, stay
And sinking into your queen sized kingdom
I'm begging you to go, go, go
And take your pride, no room here for you anymore
Take your pride, no room here for you anymore
If you go, how do I know that?
If you go, how do I know that?
If you go, how do I know that you'll be back again?
'Cause in the end you always comfort me
One month to the day that you said that you'd never change
And if I am right then you were always wrong
You got a hand in this while
An old man behind his walls and all day he says fielding calls
Said this whole world is gonna shut down without me
Well let's see, and show your hands to me
And show your hands to
Sinking into your queen sized kingdom
I'm begging you to stay, stay, stay
And sinking into your queen sized kingdom
I'm begging you to go, go, go
And take your pride, no room here for you anymore
Take your pride, no room here for you anymore
If you go, how do I know that?
If you go, how do I know that?
If you go, how do I know that you'll be back again?
'Cause in the end you always, you comfort me

Trivia and Quotes:
Tegan wrote this song for her mom about the time when she left home to move in with her girlfriend.
“I wrote this song for my mom. [...] I had gotten into a relationship and I moved provinces to be with this person and I kind of just came home one day and I was like “I’m moving to Vancouver.” And so, I wrote this song right afterwards cause it’s really hard being a grown-up all of a sudden, like you go from being like a kid, and having a stocking on Christmas eve, and your mom buying you a plastic wading pool, to being like, I’m moving in with somebody.” - Tegan in 2001
